The Sports Program Coordinator is responsible for:
Completing 1-2 hours of administrative support hours per week.
Up to 10 hours of direct service per week.
Direct service includes youth/adult league supervision and coaching youth sports classes.
Creating schedules and team rosters for all youth/adult sports leagues.
Overseeing and supervising all youth league programs.
Overseeing staffing for adult sports leagues.
Supervising at least one night of play per week.
Communicating schedules, rosters and all pertinent information for upcoming youth/adult leagues to the Welcome Center staff.
Establishing a clean, safe, organized, welcoming environment that speaks to all parents and participants.
Maintaining supplies for sports leagues and ensuring the storage areas and class spaces stay clean and organized.
Establish positive collaborations between staff to staff, staff to member, and ultimately member to member.
Exhibiting relationship-building skills in all interactions.
Responding to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
Provide support to YMCA special events as needed.
Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
You may be a great fit as a Sports Program Coordinator if you:
Have 2
years of experience working with children Can relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Possess the ability to motivate, educate, develop, and inspire members and staff.
Are at least 18 years of age.
