BARTENDER-BARISTA Reports to:
Manager on Duty/Beverage Manager/Owners Summary of Position:
Responsible for crafting delicious cocktails and mocktails, coffee, and tea beverages, providing excellent, timely and accurate customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Must be passionate about the beverage industry, have a friendly and outgoing personality, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
? Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
? Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes.
? Does not serve any patron who appears visually intoxicated.
? Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
? Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the register system.
? Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
? Prepare garnishes for drinks.
? Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
? Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
? Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas in accordance with Health Department specifications.
? Present food menu.
Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
Make recommendations and answer any questions regarding food.
? Performs multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure all guest and server orders are complete and are timely executed.
? Acknowledges and directs guests to hostess for table seating.
? Promotes restaurant events.
? Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
? Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
? Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by management.
? Arrive to work on time and ready to begin your shift.
? Follow opening and closing checklists.
Qualifications:
? Be 21 years of age.
? Have working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, coffee, tea, mocktails.
? Successfully pass the Cicerone certification test with a score of no less than a 80, within 6 months of employment.
? Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
? Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
? Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
? Be able to frequently go up and down steps to basement, while carrying recycling bins and cases of beer/wine/liquor.
