Summer Teacher/Division Head
Company DescriptionCamp Sequoia is an overnight camp located in Quakertown, PA, for boys ages 7-17 who need help developing their social skills.
Our campers have ADHD, ADD, social anxiety, and social thinking challenges.
We provide a supportive and inclusive environment that helps campers develop life skills, social competence, and self-confidence.
Salary includes room, board, travel allowance and more!Role DescriptionOur lead teacher coordinates with our program director and activity specialists.
This person typically has a wide ranging expertise in their field (STEM, ART, SPORTS etc.
) and is able to engage exceptional children in their preferred activities throughout the program day.
Additionally, this supervisory role includes dedicated planning time, team collaboration time and opportunities to work with kids in non-academic settings.
Examples of this include weekly off-site trips to theme parks and water parks.
The ideal candidate has significant experience working with kids in a camp and/or school setting.
A college degree is required for this role and preferred qualification include a teaching license, and experience working with gifted or twice-exceptional youth is ideal.
Last season 80% of the staff hired in this role held advanced degrees in their field.
QualificationsOne of our staff will leave the summer with a free cruise! Could it be you? Our VERY BEST staff are invited for an end-of-season excursion to HAWAII (free travel) with the Founding Director of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Institute.
We are looking for caregivers, teachers, social workers and experienced souls with a heart for making a positive difference in the lives of kids to support Dr.
Lew and our social skills team on our modern campus this summer.

Or, they can enjoy downtime in their room and smell the baking chocolate wafting through the air from the local chocolate factory.
