Medication Administration Technician - FT Quakertown

Complete medication paperwork required for new admissions. Verify new client medication upon intake. Assist medical department with related documentation. Work with the doctors and nursing staff to ensure client needs are being met. Assist with and oversee medication administration. Become a practicum observer for recently trained staff in medication administration. Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs. Attend meetings as necessary. Listen to clients concerning all areas of treatment. Maintain safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients including crisis intervention. Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide input. Transport clients when necessary. Complete new admission paperwork as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information, working well in an individual/group problem solving situation, and showing initiative in problem solving. Maintains professionalism, flexibility and adaptability. Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner. Ability to sustain a team environment. Calm and decisive in crisis situations. Principal Results Expected:
Continue to work closely with on-site doctors. Maintain a safe and therapeutic medication department with minimal errors. Monitor all patient medications and distribute them on time. Perform 40 hours of training per year.

Profile:
Strong skills in D&A and mental health treatment. A working knowledge of HIPPA, Licensing, DPW, and JCAHO regulations. Help to maintain a strong clinical program. Staff able to work together to effectively meet the needs of the clients. Complete required training and mandatory training hours.

Experience:
Broad understanding of the medication procedures. Maintain a confidential relationship with clients as well as doctors. Use of the electronic medical records chart system.
Education level:
High School Degree required. Knowledge of Medical field with 2-5 years of experience preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
