Job Description
Our Quakertown facility has immediate openings for an experienced controls technician. Avery Dennison offers paid vacation, paid holidays, a 401k with a company match along with comprehensive health insurance. Our pay rates are highly competitive with starting pay which also includes shift premium of $0.90 an hour.The Controls Technician is a part of a team responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility. Activities include both proactive planned work and breakdown repair. You will perform a wide range of activities in order to maintain the highly automated equipment in the process along with all facility equipment. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 12am. Includes an hourly shift bonus for working nights. This position will also include weekly overtime along with some weekend work.
Essential:
Believe in safety as a core value and participate in safety activities.
3-5 years of relevant experience as a controls technician
Advanced experience with PLCs, be able to troubleshoot, adjust, modify programs.
Strong computer skills
Uses electrical/electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic system knowledge to maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment..
Understanding of three phase AC motor and drive system.
Maintain professional, courteous, and tactful relations with all personnel at all times.
Desire and availability to work overtime.
Preferred:
Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or similar strongly preferred
Experience with web processing equipment (tension & speed control)
Experience working on Equipment Reliability
Hands on PLC experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens equipment.
Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes and methods and procedures used in performing evaluations on all electrical apparatus using volt meters, amp meters, meggers, temperature gauges, etc.

High School Diploma or GED Required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
